More than 340 guests attended the recent Art of Childhood, The Children's Cabinet's 11th annual fundraising gala, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

The event raised more than $90,000 to benefit homeless youth and family violence prevention. Teen clients eloquently described their experiences of homelessness, involvement with gangs, and missing out on school. They described how Children's Cabinet programs and services have helped them turn their lives around, and they inspired the guests to sponsor the Cabinet's new shelter for homeless teens.

Hot auction items included Burning Man tickets, a celebrity meet and greet with Kelly Clarkson and an adorable six-week old brittany spaniel puppy. The Children's Cabinet is a non-profit organization working to keep children safe and families together in northern Nevada.
