Caregivers Support Network
Substitute Caregivers for Child Care Facilities
The Caregivers Support Network (CSN) provides on-call, substitute caregivers for licensed child care facilities. These substitute caregivers enable child care centers and family day care homes to maintain required child to caregiver ratios and high quality standards.
All CSN caregivers are carefully screened and fingerprinted, then trained and certified in such areas as CPR and First Aid.
Child care facilities interested in utilizing on-call substitutes should contact Tiffany Jackson by e-mail or stop by the Cabinet between 8:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday to complete an initial interview and registration packet. Please call 856-6210 for more information.
In-Home Care for Ill Children
In the Reno/Sparks area CSN offers on-call caregivers for in-home care for ill children, from birth through high school age. This care allows parents to meet their daily commitments at work, knowing that their children are being well cared for at home.
Care is available for all shifts and is charged by the hour on a sliding fee scale (a four hour minimum applies).
As with substitute care in child care facilities, CSN caregivers are fingerprinted, bonded and insured, and most importantly, trained in CPR, First Aid, health care skills and age/illness appropriate activities.
Parents interested in utilizing in-home care when their child is ill can contact Tiffany Jackson by e-mail or stop by the Cabinet between 8:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday to complete a registration packet. Registration is required in order to utilize this service.
