Youth no longer need to feel lost, scared or alone in Northern Nevada. The Children’s Cabinet provides an alternative to any unsafe situation through the Safe Place Program.

Youth can go into any Safe Place location and ask for help with:

• family issues, help with parents
• alcohol/drug issues
• thoughts of running away or being homeless
• domestic violence
• thoughts of suicide
• being bullied or chased
• any unsafe situation

Look for the Safe Place sign at any of the following locations:

• Children's Cabinet main office, 1090 S. Rock Blvd., Reno
• City of Reno Police Substations (4 sites, various locations)
• McDonald's restaurants throughout northern Nevada and nearby California
• McGee Center, 2097 Longley Lane, Reno
• Reno First United Methodist Church, 209 W. First Street, Reno
• RTC Washoe County (over 110 buses and vans and over 1100 bus stops)
• The Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (7 locations)

When a youth asks for help at one of these Safe Place locations, Children's Cabinet staff is contacted and come to assist them. Help is also available by calling our toll-free number, 1-800-536-4588, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
