Job Opportunities in Reno

The Children’s Cabinet is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Coordinator for TACSEI (Technical Assistance Center for Social Emotional Interventions). The TACSEI coordinator’s primary function is to provide leadership, technical assistance and training to regional (southern Nevada or northern Nevada) Pyramid Model implementation sites and implement data collection and evaluation for Pyramid Model activities statewide.

  • Must qualify as a Nevada Registry ECE 4 Trainer and maintain certification.

The Children’s Cabinet has an opening for a Case Manager in Subsidy.  This position will work in the Reno district office location.  The Case Manager will assist families with subsidy application, establish initial eligibility for programs, will enroll families onto the program, assist in the selection of child care and provide on-going case management.  Please read the job description for more details. QRIS Coach – full-time position. The QRIS Coach will provide onsite Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) coaching and training to programs operating in school districts and/or licensed childcare locations in an effort to build capacity to provide quality early learning programs.  In order to be considered you must have a rating of 4 or more on the Nevada Registry Career Ladder. Early Childhood Support Teachers (ECSN) Early Childhood Support Teachers provide temporary care in child care centers and licensed family child care homes.  This is a full time position that may include a variable schedule, accountable to the quality program coordinator.  Specific training will be provided to meet basic criteria for providing quality child care.  There are special requirements listed for this position due to child care regulations.  Send resumes to HR@childrenscabinet.org.  Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.

On-Call Youth Advisor A Youth Advisor’s primary role is to maintain a safe, healthy, and appropriate environment for service delivery to homeless and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth at the transitional living center – The Center for Aspiring Youth (CAY).  Youth Advisors are responsible for the direct observation, supervision (at facility and outings), guidance, maintaining facility control through shift coverage, providing information about availability and types of services to clients, providing certain services to clients, and documenting efforts. Youth Advisors are Direct Care Staff Members, and as such, must complete a background check through Washoe County Social Services.
