Case Manager for HIPPY Program – The Children’s Cabinet is seeking a full-time case manager for our HIPPY program.  The HIPPY Case Manager develops partnerships with parents of 2, 3, 4, and 5-year-old children to enable the parent to work directly with their child on developmentally appropriate, skill building activities. The Case Manager helps parents understand early childhood development concepts and terminology that increases the parent’s ability to observe and understand their child’s learning process. The HIPPY Case Manager provides “wraparound services” to families participating in the HIPPY program and is responsible for providing information/referrals, case management, outreach, support services and direct services. HIPPY Case Managers will also provide community and parent engagement activities monthly at the Group Mixers and Celebrations. Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/MFT  Intern will provide direct services to youth and families referred to the Family Counseling Program for family therapy and work with the families on relationships, communication, and other family issues.  The Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/MFT Intern may also facilitate therapeutic groups, and will coordinate prompt and efficient delivery of services.  The Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/MFT Intern reports to the Family Counseling Coordinator for administrative issues. Early Childhood Support Teachers (ECSN) Early Childhood Support Teachers provide temporary care in child care centers and licensed family child care homes.  This is a full time position that may include a variable schedule, accountable to the quality program coordinator.  Specific training will be provided to meet basic criteria for providing quality child care.  There are special requirements listed for this position due to child care regulations.  Send resumes to HR@childrenscabinet.org.  Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.

On-Call Youth Advisor A Youth Advisor’s primary role is to maintain a safe, healthy, and appropriate environment for service delivery to homeless and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth at the transitional living center – The Center for Aspiring Youth (CAY).  Youth Advisors are responsible for the direct observation, supervision (at facility and outings), guidance, maintaining facility control through shift coverage, providing information about availability and types of services to clients, providing certain services to clients, and documenting efforts. Youth Advisors are Direct Care Staff Members, and as such, must complete a background check through Washoe County Social Services.
