Washoe Face Forward

Washoe Face Forward is a program that offers youth and young adults between the ages of  14 – 24 involved with the juvenile justice system an opportunity to improve their lives through education and employment. Each participant will learn to development workforce skills through paid employment at local businesses, in addition to obtaining industry-recognized certificates that prepare them for jobs in demand industries.

Washoe Face Forward Program consists of the following:

  • Case Management
  • Individual Career Plan (ICP) development
  • Individual Education Plan (IEP) development
  • Occupational training
  • Paid workforce activities (5 months paid through the Face Forward Community grant)
  • Legal assistance for the sealing of juvenile records
  • Mentoring
  • Follow-up services

Eligibility requirements:

  • Reside in an eligible zip code (89501, 89502, 89506, 89512, or 89431)
  • Youth and young adults ages 14-24
  • Currently or formerly involved with the juvenile justice system
  • Never been convicted as an adult under federal or state law
  • Can provide proof of residence in Washoe County
