Introducing the
Center for Aspiring Youth and Cottage of Change

For more than a decade, The Children’s Cabinet has been providing Safe Place crisis intervention and outreach services collaborating with community partners.

We are proud to announce the opening of the Center for Aspiring Youth (CAY) and the Cottage of Change. These two programs will provide a family-friendly living environment and wraparound services for teens and young adults, ages 12 to 24,in Washoe County.

These transitional living centers will help youth in our community that need a safe place and/or aging out of foster care.

The CAY and Cottage of Change will allow youth to:

  • Benefit from a safe and stable living environment
  • Gain independence and/or safely reconnect with family
  • Find stability through one or more of The Children’s Cabinet’s programs
  • Reach personal goals
  • Support employment or educational pursuits
