Wolverine Basketball Program

The Wolverine Basketball program teaches basketball fundamentals and life skills for boys, grades 7-12. It focuses on academic achievement and helps participants with college admissions and to be eligible for a college scholarship through sports.

The program provides the opportunity for each participant to better his basketball and social skills, while getting a better understand of life skills. The Children’s Cabinet develops and maintains a long-term relationship and commitment to the program’s participants and establishes a presence in the community and in the lives of the youth we serve. We increase the number of student athletes from the Northern Nevada area by helping our youth stay on track to earn college degrees, by playing in NCAA-sanctioned events, and by providing mentoring from former and current college and professional athletes.

The Nevada Wolverines are honored to be serving the youth of Northern Nevada through basketball for the past five years. In the past five years, the Wolverines are proud to announce they have successfully contributed to over 25 young men going off to play various levels of college basketball. The number continues to grow and with the continued support of our community, we will continue to work with the youth of Northern Nevada in helping them to reach their goals of attending college.
