Youth Move

youth-programsYouth Move is under the umbrella of The Washoe Children’s Mental Health Consortium, Nevada PEP, and The Children’s Cabinet. It is a youth-ran advisory board that addresses the needs, gaps and barriers for youth and young adults with mental health disabilities. Youth attend monthly meetings where they have the opportunity to learn leadership and advocacy skills, assist with public awareness activities, and to voice their opinions in state and regional policy committees and workgroups. Youth Move is open to youth and young adult’s ages 15-25 years old, who wish to share their experience with mental health, and who have an interest in changing the stigma attached to youth mental health.
