The Children’s Cabinet has an opening for a full time Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for processing accounts payable payments, accounts receivable and cash receipt deposits; creating monthly accounts receivable invoices; and creating monthly grant billings to various grantors as assigned. The Accounting Assistant provides back up to the Accounting Coordinator including processing payroll, responding to vendor and staff inquiries as needed. The Children’s Cabinet is looking for a full-time Resource and Referral Specialist in the SEED department. The Supporting Early Education and Development (SEED) Resource and Referral Specialist will provide child care referral and consultation services, recruitment and retention of license child care provider, and provider registration and support of family, friend & neighbor (FFN). Specialist may also have specific assignments related to NACCRRA functional core areas. The Children’s Cabinet has an opening for a full-time Family First Safety Case Manager – Rural Nevada with Primary focus on Fallon and Fernley areas: The Family First Case Manager is responsible for providing safety management, safety services, information and referrals, case management, outreach and direct services to DCFS families who are referred to the Children’s Cabinet. Interested parties need to provide an updated resume and cover letter.

Therapist’s (multiple opportunities) The Children’s Cabinet is seeking qualified Therapists: Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/MFT Intern; Clinical Professional Therapist (CPC)/CPC Intern; Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/CSW Interns for work in the Reno area.

This position provides direct services to youth and families referred to the Family Counseling Program for family therapy.  The Therapist/Intern will provide services to the Children’s Cabinet clients to work with the family on relationships, communication, and other family issues.  The Therapist/Intern may also facilitate therapeutic groups as determined by The Children’s Cabinet.  The Therapist/Intern will work within a team setting with other Cabinet staff to facilitate the prompt and efficient delivery of services.

CAY Youth Advisor  The Children’s Cabinet is looking to employ qualified people as Youth Advisors for the Center for Aspiring Youth (CAY).  There are full-time and part-time positions available.  The CAY is a 24 residential facility.

Youth Advisors primary role is to maintain a safe, healthy, and appropriate environment for service delivery to homeless and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth at the transitional living center – The Center for Aspiring Youth (CAY).  Youth Advisors are responsible for the direct observation, supervision (at facility and outings), guidance, maintaining facility control through shift coverage, providing information about availability and types of services to clients, providing certain services to clients, and documenting efforts. Youth Advisors are Direct Care Staff Members, and as such, must complete a background check through Washoe County Social Services

Jobs Opportunities in Las Vegas 

The Children’s Cabinet is seeking a Quality Specialist for the Supporting Early Education and Care (SEED) department. This position is located in Las Vegas. The Supporting Early Education and Development (SEED) Quality Specialist will provide early childhood and out-of-school time provider professional development through trainings, onsite assistance and written materials. Specialist will also provide community and parent engagement activities in their assigned region. This position requires an understanding of early childhood education and indicators of quality care, licensing regulations, and work/life issues. A person who is bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
