It is important for the program staff to understand the roles of health nutrition and safety in a quality program. There are standards to help make the afterschool environment safe. \n \nTraining Objectives: \n1 . By the end of the session\, participants will recognize how health\, nutrition\, and safety create quality afterschool programs. \n2 . By the end of the session\, participants will understand the purpose of health and safety standards. \n3 . By the end of the session\, participants will identify strategies for improving the health in safety in their afterschool program. \nEach professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
