DESCRIPTION:***Please make sure to have a Zoom account prior to attending The Children’s Cabinet virtual trainings.*** (Handouts-Windows 10 or better)\n\n\nInstructor: Constance Tomaneng \nNevada Registry Approved: 1.0 Hour \nCKA: Environment & Curriculum \nThis session will focus on three fundamental principles for learning as identified by the National Academics of Science: 1) attention to prior knowledge; 2) foundation off actual knowledge and understanding; and 3) learner self-regulation. \n \nLearning Outcomes: \n1 . To understand principles of learning including attention to prior knowledge and foundation of factual knowledge. \n2 . To understand principles of learning including attention to understanding and learner self-regulation. \n3 . To understand how to apply principles for learning in afterschool settings to maximize children’s science\, engineering\, and technology learning. \n \nEach professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
