Discussion will revolve around thinking of ways to let families become more involved with the aftershool programs. Participants will also learn how to evaluate a program’s effectiveness where family involvement is concerned – based on NV out-of-school time program quality standards. \nLearning Outcomes: \n1 . Learners will  outline the importance of family engagement in the afterschool setting. \n2 . Learners will  describe ways in which a family can be engaged in the afterschool programs. \n3 . Learners will apply their understanding based on the NV out-of-school time quality standards.  \nEach professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
