DESCRIPTION:Please be aware that you will be asked to adhere to all current social distancing guidelines and COVID-19 safety protocols\n\n\nInstructor: Amanda Harding \nNevada Registry Approved: 2.0 hours \nCKA:  Health\, Nutrition & Safety \nThis class reviews signs and symptoms of abuse/neglect/maltreatment\, how to respond to a child’s disclosure\, how to make a report\, and the process once a report is made. \nTraining Objectives: \n1. Participants will be able to define abuse/neglect/maltreatment and give examples of each. \n2. Participants will recognize and name signs and symptoms of abuse/neglect/maltreatment. \n3. Participants will know the do’s and don’ts of how to respond to a child who is disclosing potential abuse/neglect/maltreatment. \nEach professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
