DESCRIPTION:We will build your skills and confidence in creating\, implementing and evaluating successful child care business practices.\n\n\nBUILDING BETTER BUSINESSES\n \nThe Children’s Cabinet in collaboration with Evenlyn Knight of Child Care Buisness Professionals are proud to launch a new learning series specific to building the skills and confidence of center-based Directors and Owners.\n\nBUILDING BETTER BUSINESSES is a cohort-style\, virtual learning series that will consist of a monthly professional development event accompanied by a monthly office hour call offering technical assitance\, individualized problem solving and practical examples to embed in your practice. \nWho should join? \nLicensed\, Center-based child care Directors\, Owners or Operators in Nevada. This content will be most beneficial to leaders who are new in their role or need a grounding in the series topics and access to monthly technical assistance to implement concepts. \nWhat is the time committment? \n\n3 hours per month x 6 months = 18 total hours\n2 hours/month of professional development training\n1 hour /month of “office hours” support. Office hours are specific to your role. Owners and Directors will have separate meeting times.\n\nHow long does this cohort last? \n6 months between April and September. \nWhat topics will be covered*Note: All professional development events will be Nevada Registry approved. DESCRIPTION:We will build your skills and confidence in creating\, implementing and evaluating successful child care business practices.\n\n\nBUILDING BETTER BUSINESSES\n \nThe Children’s Cabinet in collaboration with Evenlyn Knight of Child Care Buisness Professionals are proud to launch a new learning series specific to building the skills and confidence of center-based Directors and Owners.\n\nBUILDING BETTER BUSINESSES is a cohort-style\, virtual learning series that will consist of a monthly professional development event accompanied by a monthly office hour call offering technical assitance\, individualized problem solving and practical examples to embed in your practice. \nWho should join? \nLicensed\, Center-based child care Directors\, Owners or Operators in Nevada. This content will be most beneficial to leaders who are new in their role or need a grounding in the series topics and access to monthly technical assistance to implement concepts. \nWhat is the time committment? \n\n3 hours per month x 6 months = 18 total hours\n2 hours/month of professional development training\n1 hour /month of “office hours” support. Office hours are specific to your role. Owners and Directors will have separate meeting times.\n\nHow long does this cohort last? \n6 months between April and September. \nWhat topics will be covered*Note: All professional development events will be Nevada Registry approved. The office hours will not be availalbe for credit. \nAll classes will take place the first Tuesday of each month between 12:30-2:30p \n\n4/9/24 – Crafting organizational structures for child care\n5/14/24 – Creating systems of operations\n6/11/24 – Successfully on-boarding and training new center staff\n7/9/24 – Empowering staff through ongoing assessments and reviews\n8/13/24 – Creating and implementing sustainable policies and procedures for families\n9/10/24 – Crafting and executing effective onboarding for families\n\n \nBy registering\, you are agreeing to participating in the full training series and office hours sessions.
