DESCRIPTION:In-Person\n\n\nInstructor: Janna Mason \nNevada Registry Approved: 2.0 Hours \nCKA: Positive Interactions & Guidance \nFix the Fuse\, Not the Fire helps early childhood educators look beyond behavior to understand the triggers driving it. Through interactive activities and practical tools\, participants learn proactive and responsive de-escalation strategies while strengthening their own emotional regulation—creating calmer classrooms and stronger relationships with young children. \nTraining Objectives: \n1 . By the end of this session\, participants will identify common triggers (“fuses”) that lead to escalated behaviors. \n2 . By the end of this session\, participants will learn and apply a toolbox of proactive and responsive de-escalation strategies for many different specific behaviors. \n3 . By the end of this session\, participants will identify strategies for maintaining emotional regulation as an adult during challenging behaviors. \n \nEach professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
