The Children’s Cabinet is thrilled to announce that we’ve been recognized in this year’s Best of Sierra Nevada Awards, taking home Gold for Best Charity Event for Art of Childhood and Silver for Best Place to Volunteer.
These honors are a reflection of the incredible community that surrounds our mission — from the generous supporters who make Art of Childhood such a beloved annual event, to the dedicated volunteers who give their time and hearts to help local children and families thrive.
Art of Childhood continues to be one of our signature fundraising events, blending creativity and community spirit to support the vital programs and services we provide. Earning the top spot in this category is a testament to the hard work of our team, sponsors, and attendees who make the event special year after year.
Being named a top Place to Volunteer means just as much to us. Our volunteers are the backbone of so much of what we do, and this recognition belongs to every person who has shown up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped make a difference in a child’s life.
This continues a strong track record of recognition for The Children’s Cabinet. In 2025, we earned Gold for Best Charity Event and Gold for Best Place to Volunteer. In 2024, we were honored with Silver for Best Nonprofit Organization and Gold for Best Place to Volunteer. We’re proud that our community continues to recognize the dedication of our volunteers and the impact of our events year after year.
We’re grateful to everyone in the Sierra Nevada community who voted and continues to support our work. These awards fuel our commitment to serving local families and remind us why this work matters.
