The Children’s Cabinet offers a wide variety of classes and training opportunities designed to support both families and early childhood professionals.
For Parents and Families:
Our parenting classes provide practical tools and information to help children thrive. Topics include the importance of play, how children learn and develop, early literacy support, positive behavior guidance, strengthening family relationships, and much more.
For Child Care Providers:
Our professional development classes help providers meet Nevada licensing and training requirements. We offer Nevada Registry-approved courses across all eight Common Knowledge Areas (CKA), including required initial training and ongoing professional development opportunities to support quality care and education.
New Learning Management System (LMS)
We are transitioning to a new Learning Management System (LMS) designed to make it easier for childcare providers and parents to access and manage community education classes.
What this means for you:
- Register for training in one place
- Fast sign-ups with saved profiles
- Automated email reminders
- Easier certificate access
To register for courses on or after October 1, 2026, you must create your profile in the new LMS.
