Help us Bring Holiday Cheer to Families in Need
The holidays should be a time of hope and giving, but for many local families, the holidays can be stressful. At The Children’s Cabinet, through our generous community partners, businesses, and individuals, we will make every effort to make the 2024 Holiday Season a little brighter for those in need during challenging times.

Who We Help
The Children’s Cabinet’s Adopt A Family program provides holiday gifts to our clients who need help around the holidays. Our clients work with their Case Manager on their dream wish list and we match them with an individual or corporate donor who will shop for their gifts.
Toy Table is a program for non-clients, open to community members who need extra help around the holidays providing gifts for their children. When a family in our community calls us for help, we ask them what their children like and go “shopping” from all of the toys donated by our generous community members.
How You Can Help
Interested in Adopting a Family?
Please fill out this form. Pre-registration is required by October 25th, 2024.
- Decide what size family you would like to provide gifts for. We have families in need of all sizes and suggest a budget of $50 minimum per family member. Gifts for each family member can be provided as physical gifts or a combination of gifts and gift cards.
- You will receive information about your family, including first names, ages, gender and detailed wish lists. Please remember that the holidays are a time for dreaming! We encourage our families to provide as much detail as possible.
- Go shopping and have fun! NO large, heavy or used items, please.
- Wrap your gifts and label each one (including gift cards) with the family number and each individual’s name. Please put all wrapped and tagged gifts in a large/heavy-duty plastic lawn or garbage bag, with the family number labeled on the outside.
- Gifts can be dropped off at our Rock Office (1090 S. Rock Blvd.) during the following set days and times:
- Saturday, December 2nd from 10am – 1pm
- Monday, December 4th – Friday, December 8th from 7:30am – 5:30pm
- Saturday, December 9th from 10am – 2pm.
Make a Monetary Donation
Monetary contributions of any amount can create peace of mind for Children’s Cabinet families. Simply designate “Holiday Donation” in the note section of your online donation by December 16th, 2024, and we will buy and distribute gifts to those in need. Click here to donate online.
Donate Toys & Gift Cards
Change the lives of families this holiday season by donating gift cards or new, unwrapped toys, games, or coats for children ages 0-17 by December 16th, 2024 and we will distribute them to clients in need.

How to Apply for Holiday Help
If you are a Children’s Cabinet Client, please reach out to your Case Manager.
If you are not a Children’s Cabinet Client and need holiday help, please give us a call at 775-856-6200 starting November 18th.
