Angel’s Journey: Finding Support, Building a Future

When Angel began falling behind on his school credits, the path to graduation started to feel out of reach. Traditional school settings weren’t meeting his needs, and like many young people navigating personal challenges, he needed something different—something more supportive, flexible, and focused on his individual goals.

That’s when Angel found Redfield Academy, an onsite high school operated by The Children’s Cabinet. Redfield is designed specifically for students who need to recover credits and get back on track academically. With small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a compassionate team of educators, Angel began to thrive.

But his growth didn’t stop in the classroom.

Angel also joined Cabinet Ink, The Children’s Cabinet’s youth-run digital printing business. Through this unique program, he got his very first job—learning professional skills, gaining hands-on work experience, and developing a sense of confidence and independence that extended far beyond academics.

“I am grateful for these opportunities,” Angel shares.

Thanks to the wraparound support he received from The Children’s Cabinet—both in school and on the job—Angel is moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose and hope. He’s not just working toward graduation. He’s building a future filled with potential.

Angel’s story is one of many that show what’s possible when young people have access to the right support at the right time. At The Children’s Cabinet, we’re proud to stand beside students like Angel as they take their next steps toward success.
