Shannon Bilbray-Axelrod has joined The Children’s Cabinet as Policy and External Relations Director, strengthening the organization’s leadership team as it advances policy solutions and partnerships that support children and families across Nevada.

In this role, Bilbray-Axelrod will lead policy strategy and external engagement efforts, working with policymakers, community organizations, and cross-sector partners to advance evidence-based solutions that improve outcomes for children and families.

“I’m honored to join The Children’s Cabinet in a role that allows me to advance thoughtful, data-informed policy solutions that strengthen systems serving children and families,” Bilbray-Axelrod said. “Effective policy requires collaboration and a shared commitment to long-term impact, and I look forward to working with partners across sectors to support that work.”

The Children’s Cabinet is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and families through early childhood education, family support services, and policy leadership.

Bilbray-Axelrod brings extensive experience in public service, policy, government relations, and community engagement, with a proven record of building strategic partnerships and translating community needs into actionable policy. She previously served four terms in the Nevada State Assembly, where she chaired the Education Committee.
