For one Carson City parent, attending I’m Ready for K sessions at the local library has become more than just a weekly activity—it’s a meaningful part of their child’s learning journey.
“The Children’s Cabinet’s programs have provided consistency and a safe space to have my children come learn,” they shared. “The Parent Engagement Specialist is especially wonderful—engaging kids with fun and excitement.”
Each week, the sessions offer age-appropriate activities designed to build social, emotional, and academic skills that help young children feel ready for kindergarten. They’re also a chance for parents to engage one-on-one with their children, strengthening the parent-child relationship through play, creativity, and connection.
“She provides new and thoughtful activities every time,” the parent said. “And the take-home pieces are just as great. She brings that same excitement to learn into our home.”
As families navigate the big emotions that can come with starting kindergarten, The Children’s Cabinet is proud to offer support, guidance, and joy along the way.
