This training explores infant brain and nervous system development and how it shapes behavior in group care. Providers will learn practical co-regulation strategies, how secure attachment forms in childcare settings, and how responsive, relationship-based practices support healthy development while also protecting caregiver well-being.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this session, the learner will Explain key aspects of infant brain and nervous system development and how this shows up in classroom behavior.

2 . By the end of this session, the learner will Demonstrate responsive, relationship-based caregiving strategies that support secure attachment in group care settings.

3 . By the end of this session, the learner will Develop co-regulation techniques to manage infant distress while supporting their own well-being.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
