Creating a Diverse and Inclusive Environment

CKA: Environment & Curriculum

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to include diversity and inclusion into the classroom and why it is important. Through conversation, planning and activities participants will leave ready to be successful at providing a more diverse and inclusive classroom.

Training Objectives:

1 .Participants will create a list of classroom materials to promote learning around diversity and inclusion.

2 .Participants will practice conversations with a partner around diversity and inclusion.

3 . Participants will use ideas gained in training to design a lesson around diversity or inclusion.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
