Learners will have the opportunity to strengthen their own emotional literacy skills while learning how to intentionally model, teach and scaffold these skills in young children. Together we will explore how emotional literacy not only reduces challenging behaviors but also promotes school readiness and lifelong emotional weel-being.
Training Objectives:
- Learners will participate in developing an action plan that includes teaching social emotional strategies.
- Learners will participate in role playing the implementation of a emotional literacy strategy.
- Learners will name a strategy they can implement in support of the growing emotional literature of their child.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
