At The Children’s Cabinet, our mission is to keep children safe and families together. We provide programs and services at no charge to youth and their families in our community. We support young children to young adults, so that they can thrive within their schools, their families, and their neighborhoods. There is no wrong door, and we will ensure those who need us are provided the proper resources regardless of their circumstances.

3rd Annual Washoe County Youth Mental Health Summit
Tuesday, September 17th | 9am – 3pm
Connect Washoe County invites you to a day of education, connection, gratitude, and hope. This full day is designed to bring mental health providers and caring adults together surrounding the importance of youth mental health.
The Youth Mental Health Summit will be followed by a community resource fair from 3:30pm – 6pm. Learn from over 30 youth-serving agencies from northern Nevada and hear key-note presentations.

Danielle Holmes
Danielle is the Las Vegas Operations Director and is celebrating 14 years at The Children’s Cabinet!
“In 2010, my family and I were looking to relocate from Long Beach, California to Las Vegas. The Children’s Cabinet was expanding at the time and starting up services in Southern Nevada. I saw a posting for job openings at The Children’s Cabinet and I was immediately intrigued and interested in working here. I applied for the Program Manager position, and received an interview and a job offer shortly after. I accepted immediately and my family and I moved to Las Vegas a month later. There are many reasons why I enjoy working at The Children’s Cabinet. Our positive work culture and family friendly environment was very important to me. It is exciting to be a part of an agency where we get to make an impact in the lives of children, families, and child care providers on a daily basis! We are an agency that truly follows our mission statement and values and there is no other place like the Cabinet!”
