Learning Summary: As early childhood programs make the shift from teacher-directed programming to child-centered curriculum it can be challenging to help families understand that their children are still learning – even without dittos. Join the discussion and gain some new ideas for how to make learning visible in your program.

Learning Outcomes:

1 . Learners will explain the importance of play-based learning.

2 . Learners will identify strategies for making child learning visible in their program.

3 . Learners will recognize the importance of communicating child-centered instruction practices with families.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three-question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 702-245-8555.
