Learning Event Summary:
Afterschool programs often serve youth, ages 5 to 14. It is important for the program staff to understand the roles of health nutrition and safety in a quality program. There are standards to help make the afterschool environment safe.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learners will recognize the roles of health, nutrition, and safety in afterschool.
- Learners will explain the standards set forth to make an afterschool environment healthy and safe.
- Learners will understand the message of a quality after-school program in the context of health and safety.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
