Critical thinking is the ongoing search for valid and reliable knowledge to guide beliefs, decisions, and actions. Join us to learn everyday ways to promote critical thinking and help prepare children for school, friends and life.

Training Objectives:

1 . Describe how the Life Skill of Critical Thinking calls upon Executive Function Skills.

2 . Restate that Critical Thinking skills emerge in children but must be promoted.

3 . Select strategies that they can use in their classroom to promote Critical Thinking.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
