June 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Instructor: Janna Rightmire

Nevada Registry Approved: 2.0 Hours

CKA: Human Growth & Development

It is through self-directed, engaged learning that we realize our potential. As the world changes, so can we, for as long as we live – as long as we learn. Join us to learn how we help children become learners for life and prepare for school, friends and life.

Training Objectives:

1 . Describe how Self-directed and Engaged Learning calls on Executive Function

2 . Choose one way to promote the skill of making and setting goals with children.

3 . List at least one strategy for creating a community of learners.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
