Based on Pyramid Model principles, this training will focus on understanding the communicative message behind challenging behaviors and how to identify skills that can be targeted for instruction.

Training Objectives:

• Participants will be able to identify when to begin the intensive intervention process.

• Participants will be able to define challenging behaviors and how these are different from developmentally appropriate behavior.

• Participants will identify form and function of behavior.
